Round 2-- Shred Day 3

Today i was riding the emotional roller coaster. I woke up to a 4 yr old crying at the top of his lungs because he did  not want to go to pre-school. He was on vacation for 2 weeks and that threw him off a bit. I was determined not to baby him too much once i got to his class room, and that's exactly what i did, dropped and rolled out. He was yelling in the classroom and i was crying like a baby in my car. But once again when  dad picked him up, he's all excited and saying how much he loves school and can't wait until tomorrow.. Geesh the things us mom have to go through for these little people.

OK on to the good stuff - SHRED DAY 3

I am a little sore on the abs and feel over worked because sleep has been almost non existent for me. I LOVE  this workout because it gives FAST results. I am being smart this time and eating well for maximum results. Even though my body is used to working out, is still hard for me to finish strong, those bicycle crunches ladies are no joke but so good, they too are my favorite.

One thing that has me a little concern are my knees, they are stronger but they still hurt everytime i work out. I pray they stay strong, i am going to have to treat them with icy/hot and advil to prevent further injury.

I know each level, especially level 1 can get a little boring after the first few days but i think we should stick to each level for 10 days each for best results.

Tonight i will satisfy my sweets cravings with this-

Steph what you think? not as fun as your last night craving ah..lol

27 days to gooooo!!!!

I have been wondering how you KNOW when to move on to the next level. Is it all by comfort and ability? Or is it *supposed* to be 10 days at each level? Just curious.

I teach preschool, so I totally get what you're saying. We just came back from our Christmas holidays yesterday and today (I teach 2 classes...one MWF and one TTh). Yesterday's class was relieved to be back. Today's had to push every limit. Kid's are so funny.

LMAO!! Too hilarious! Yeah sorry about my craving post. Sweets is my downfall. I did not give in. A good sweet snack is also some frozen blueberries. So good!

I feel your pain when the little ones cry. I have a 2 year old who is in daycare only 3 days- sometimes he still crys when I leave. I stay strong and leave but then cry in the car- hating that I have to work. Then in the afternoon when I get him, he is happy and loving it! Ahh the joys!

Hope your knees feel better!

Stick to each level for 10 days?!?

I thought I was supposed to do Level One for 30 days.

Oh sweet mercy. You'd better pray for me triple extra now, girl.

Oh I am so sorry to hear about your rough day with your 4 year old. I have a 3 year old and am dreading those days of dropping him off at preschool only to have him cry and not want to go. ((Hugs))! That's great that you got your Shred in!!

Sounds like you have knee problems too. Did you ever have surgery? I had knee surgery shortly after having my 1st baby. I tried to run before my body was ready and had to have knee surgery. I have done Shred awhile ago and it always hurts my bad knee but so far this time it hasn't bothered me...knock on wood.

Even though level 1 can get boring, I add in my weights for the jumping jacks butt kicks etc (like she does on level 3)
Also, once I got comfortable with all three workouts(able to do most of what she does and not break too much, I just rotate through the workouts each day. Monday workout 1, tuesday workout 2 etc. Do you see a reason not to do this? It seems it would keep your body guessing and not get use to one type of the workouts....just curious. I can't seem to find anything online. I've been doing this since May and have maintained my results, I shoot for at least 3-4 times a week. Your results are great! I've had fun keeping up with your blog

I agree, I am sticking with Level 1 for the first ten days for sure. It's getting better, but I have by no means mastered it. Good for you!

Uberjoy did you rotate after you completed the 30 days?

When i completed my 30 days i rotated level for about 2 weeks, and also did her other workout program like NMTZ and BYMB..

All you girls are doing great! There is no RIGHT way to do this, when it comes to the days you do each level, but believe me you want to be ready to move on because you don't want to be discouraged because the workout is hard...

Start slow you will get awesome results..

Yes, I started to rotate after the first 30 days. I just started the trouble zones a couple of weeks ago before christmas. I took a two week hiatus (that sounds better than just not working out during the holidays)and now trying to get back on the shred wagon. (Love the trouble zones workouts too ).
Just curious if you had read anything against rotating through them as oppose to doing each workout for 10 days straight then switching, long term.....

Hi I just found your blog. It's great to have a community of people going through the same thing. I am on Day 5 after 2-3 months of NO exercise and very little concern over what I ate.

I love a good workout and the feeling that I worked hard. This is a great exercise.
