Steps Of Faith Challenge #6

2 Comment Here
Wow what a day I've had! All i did was sleep, read, sleep, play with kids and take care of 2 sick little ones. Unfortunately no church service for us :( which made me a little sad. Did i also tell you it was snowing in New England today! yes SNOW.. Crazy! but i am not even going to complain or mention the weather anymore..

Moving on to better things i want to update you a little on last week's challenge that was to read the word more and more. Go head deep in it. Well i did and i must share that not only have i learned so much about my God but i am learning more and more to let go and let Him handle every aspect of my life, yes letting go completely. I am experiencing a peace in me that nothing in this world but God can give. The more i learn about God's characteristics the more i am drawn to please Him.

For those who honor Me I will honor,and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. 1Samuel 2:30

I want to Honor Jehovah with all my being. With that said Let's get on to this weeks challenge;

We always hear this "be the change you want to see in this world" I love this but how hard is to do this. I am learning everyday that in order to see change in something you want to change you have to take a new attitude towards that situation. You have to place yourself in the other's person's shoe and start an inner change within. So i challenge you to change something within that is not pleasant to the Lord, make Him happy. We are living testimony and i guarantee you the minute you start doing good for yourself and others it will trickel down to those who have theirs eyes on you.

YOU CAN DO IT! LET'S GOOOOOO

Steps of Faith Challenge # 5

I decided to change the name of the challenges to "Steps Of Faith weekly challenges". I find that i am taking steps in my walk toward sanctification which require a lot of FAITH in order to continue encouraged. I've also realized that even though it should not be like this, some woman are intimidated by the Proverb 31 woman. Yes to some it seems something far fetched. I disagree with that thought and continue encourage to live by that Proverb 31 woman and beyond. I also want anyone and everyone to participate in these challenges not only married women or mothers.

This weeks challenge is:

READ READ AND READ THE WORD- UNDERSTAND IT- AND LIVE IT.

This is something we need to do all the days of our lives for it is vital for us to live in God's will. I also want to ask you guys to pray for me i want to stay encouraged with a clear mindset and sometimes it seems as if daily routines and expectations can get you a little loopy..lol.. So please keep me in your prayers.. God bless and stay encouraged in HIS LOVE

Proverbs 31 Weekly challenge #4

WOW what a long and blessed day today has been. Service was great and a afternoon with great food and friends was right on. So here we are challenge #4, but first i want to give you a brief update on last week's challenge which didn't go as i had planned but oh well i live on God's timing anyways. So the challenge was to make amends or call someone you had no spoke to in a while. I mainly did this challenge because in my own personal life i have to make amends with someone i love dearly, but God knows i tried and was unsuccessful, so again i will continue to pray and wait on God :)

Now this weekend my kids and i worked on something really cool which i saw at SPRITTIBEE'S blog and thought it was great to do with my own kids. It teaches about creation and all the things God completed in 6 days. I thought this was great as a visual especially for my 4yr old so he can have a understanding as to how he and the world was created, and that the monkey or big bammm junk is just that JUNK! LIES..lol..Check it out.. (again we are NOT the craftiest family so please bare with us)

OK so this week's challenge is;

Create a Bible base project with your kids, yes you heard right! create create...I had a blast with his project and plan to make very good use of it.. Now go on create your project and share with us.. Is Simple enjoy... :)

Proverbs 31:28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.

Update on Challenge #2 (Love and Compassion)

One thing for sure is that when you are trying to do something good the enemy is always waging war against you trying to stop you. But who is that by your side? Oh Yea My Lord and Saviour who never abandons me when I need Him the most.
The challenge for last week was-Pick 2 people that you and your children can show love and compassion to. And here's what we did..
Our Neighbor's husband died a few months ago of cancer, she currently lives alone with her son. She is in her 70's and finds herself very lonely sometimes. I asked my kids if they would be so kind to make her some cards and explained to them what happened to her and how God calls us to love and be compassionate towards everyone especially widows and orphans.

James 1:27 --Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

We made these cards with so much Love here's a look (we are not crafty, but we are learning)
When we went to see her she shared with us that she was not having a very good week, she missed her husband and felt a bit lonely. I thought WOW Lord you are just something else, when we think we are doing something to benefit us (i want to show my kids to be compassionate) yet the Lord who knows EVERY ONE'S need and has everything planned for the good of everyone at His timing, which is perfect. My kids had a great time there and i know they brought joy to our dear neighbor with our presence.. God is good and we rejoice in HIM!

As for my own personal challenge I COMPLETED IT TOO!!! YEY..Can't disclose too much of it.. But i can tell you it's of continuous blessing..

Did you participate in this week's challenge? If so share with me your adventure..

Weekly Provers 31 Challenge #2

3 Comment Here
Oh what a day! My spirit is in awe of God's greatness and the way He moves around His people. Service today was touching, moving, motivational, spirit filled. The need for Christ in every ones life was so evident, as a body we came together in one voice calling out to our FATHER.

In that same spirit I continue with this week challenge. I ask myself, what am i doing to show you the love of Christ, what am i doing to show my children to love one another? Am i just reading it to them from the Bible, or am I living it? LOVE and compassion go hand in hand, I want the Lord to transform me into a more compassionate woman and that i am able to transcend it to my children.

Here's the challenge;

I want you to do something this week for someone to show them that you LOVE and care for them. You will be ministering LOVE to two different people, one with your children and another just you. It can be something as simple as a poem, taking out a neighbors trash, visiting someone you have not seen in a long time and sharing with them a prayer, or just a simple listening ear. Whatever you choose make sure you do it out of LOVE and it will be reflected.

I will give you a update on what my family and i worked on..And i pray you share with me what you've been working on as well :)

John 15:13 -Greater LOVE has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.

Thursday Proverbs 31 Challenge Update!

Ladies how's the Proverbs 31 challenge going so far, Have you purchase your book yet? If so are you reading it. Share with me your thoughts.

Here's my update..

I am sooo loving my prayer time. The way she shows us how to pray in this book is just precious, by the way i am still stuck on chapter one's prayer even though i am on chapter 3 lol.. The most valuable lesson I've learned so far is the internal change that has to occur in me in order for me to even go ANYWHERE, and i am so working on it. Also as a mommy of 4 the youngest being 5 months old, i consumed myself in my kids and home, my husband was the last thing on my list (yea let me keep it real sometimes he dint even make the list) So as i write my daily to do list or goals, i make sure i add TIME WITH HUBBY to the list. Is vital vital vital.. And not only that when we do come together, and no it does not always have to be sexually, actually i suggest that it is not always sexual (even though, sometimes it always end up there lol) but just talking, watching TV, reading a book is super fun :) OK so the work-in-progress continues yeyyyyy.. :)

Here is the link if you haven't purchase your book, do it now!! you will only be blessed :)

My Spirit Filled Proverbs 31 weekly Challenges

3 Comment Here

OK so here's the deal. I am on a never ending journey to be a SPIRIT filled Proverbs 31 woman as God created me to be. As we know, the proverbs 31 woman talked about in the book of Proverbs possessed a price far above rubies and i agree, the only difference is that Proverbs 31 woman did not live under the grace times we live in now, meaning Filled with the HOLY SPIRIT to guide and direct her,non-the-less for sure God was with her. When i saw it all like this i was filled with thanksgiving.
John 14:26 "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

We read here that the Holy spirit of God is here to teach us ALL things, and remind us of God's word in the Holy Bible.

I've asked my Lord over and over to give me wisdom in taking proper care of my husband, children and home. I spent quite a long time managing all of these not the way God intended for me to do it, more like the way i wanted to do it. I wanted to RUSH through it all - trying to get to the next stage in life, all the while overlooking and not appreciating each stage i was in. I will also add that i spent a lot of time miserable recognizing i was not doing things right, there always had to be a change of something (hum now i understand why i moved the furniture around so much in my home lol) yet i also recognize that sometimes it takes time for us to get it RIGHT. Today's women are kind of lost, confused as to what their role as women are. Of course time changes trends come in and out, but yet one thing remains the same- GOD'S WORD. God's principals for all human kind. I've read many books, went to several prayer meetings, talked about change, asked for guidance and believe me they all work, but ONLY IF THE CONDITION OF THE HEART IS READY TO RECEIVE AND CHANGE.

With that said i present to you some challenges/goals. Every Sunday night i will post a challenge/goal for that week. Something that you and I can work on together to help us in our walk as great woman of the Most High, Jehovah. Here are some examples of the steps we will take.
  • Learning HOW to pray and WHAT to pray for
  • Do Hands on activities that will teach our children to LOVE others
  • Pray for our spouse
  • Be a good Stuart of what God's given you
  • Teach our children to respect their Fathers by us FIRST respecting them.

These are some examples of the many challenges/goals i will post. I encourage you to write me some goals you think will be great for us to work on and i will definitely add it to our list. Also, with each challenge i put up, i would love for you to share your experience, once you've completed the challenge no matter the timing. And if it's a hands on activity, please feel free to post some pics, but most importantly is the CHANGE OF HEART TOWARD A SPIRIT FILLED PROVERBS 31 WOMAN OF GOD.

OK now let's take these 2 days we have left before the first challenge to learn how to Pray according to Luke 11:1-4 Oh there is a lot to take from there.
